Who Can Join

The target groups of this course are High school leavers, Police officers, Private security officers, probation officers, prison officers, Intelligence officers, Children officers and Community Based Organizations officials. It also targets non-employed people who wish to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes in crime prevention, private investigation or in the diverse fields of Criminology and Criminal Justice

Entry Qualifications

To be eligible for admission, the applicant must be a holder of one of the following:

• KCSE certificate with a minimum of an aggregate of C- (minus)
• EACE/KCE/KACE/EAACE certificate with a minimum of four (4) credits in any four subjects at ‘O’ level, One principal at A level.
• 12th-grade certificate with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
• IGCSE certificate with a minimum of four (4) upper-level passes.
• GCE certificate with a minimum of four (4) upper-level passes at ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level passes of C grade.
• Certificate in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
• Any other qualification(s) that may be approved by the university senate

Duration & Structure of The Programme

• Five (5) trimesters offered in One and a half (1 and a half (11/2) calendar years.

Mode of Delivery of The Programme/Course

• Fulltime and Distance Learning.
